Companies and educational institutions play a significant role
Companies and educational institutions play a significant role in the national extension of public charging infrastructure for electric cars. Zealand Academy of Technologies and Business has taken a major step in the sustainable direction and offers charging facilities to employees, students and guests at their locations in Køge, Roskilde and Næstved. They have installed a total of twelve charging outlets from Spirii that will make it easier for users of electric cars to visit and park at Zealand Academy of Technologies and Business. Not all users of electric cars have access to charging facilities at home, and therefore, it is important that companies and educational institution not only keep up with developments but are at the forefront and establish charging facilities for their current and coming employees, students and guests driving an electric car. Offering charging facilities is a good service, allowing users of electric cars to charge their cars when they are parked for longer periods of time at work or at their educational institution.
The solution also allows them to differentiate the price so that employees and students can charge at DKK 2.50/kWh, whereas other guests pay DKK 3.50/kWh. At the same time, the service agreement ensures that they receive quarterly reimbursement of the electricity tax.
