Spirii and PowerGo to offer charging solutions for Radisson Hotel Group
The partnership aims to meet the surging demand for electric vehicles on European roads.
Radisson Hotel Group, the renowned international hotel chain boasting over 1,150 hotels worldwide, has teamed up with Spirii and PowerGo to introduce charging solutions across its extensive European network. The partnership aims to meet the surging demand for electric vehicles (EVs) on European roads.
In October 2022, the European Commission announced its ambitious plan for all newly registered cars and vans in Europe to be zero-emission vehicles by 2035. As a result, the consumer appetite for electric vehicles is predicted to quadruple by 2025, making electric vehicles the dominant power train in the next decade.
Addressing the imminent need for comprehensive EV charging infrastructure, Spirii, PowerGo, and Radisson Hotel Group have partnered up to contribute to the development of a pan-European charging network. As a result, approximately 300 Radisson hotels across Europe will soon be equipped with charging stations, ensuring that EV users can easily access charging facilities during their travels.
The initiative enables hotels within the Radisson Hotel Group to collaborate with PowerGo as a Charge Point Operator (CPO) responsible for managing and operating the charging infrastructure, leveraging Spirii's eMobility platform.
The partnership between Spirii, PowerGo, and Radisson Hotel Group has already set the wheels in motion. The initial phase will witness the installation of eight charging stations at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo, with completion scheduled for mid-July.
